Tribal awakening …

Madonna modelling for Louie Vuitton in their Spring/Summer 2009 collection

Keep everyone guessing with innocent bows one day and going wild with tribal accessories the next. Louis Vuitton heralded the trend with the heavily embellished ‘it’ shoe, Spicy platform sandals, unveilled in their Spring/Summer 2009 collection.

Experiment with this fad by wearing African and Parisian inspired accessories highlighted by feathers, beading and turquoise. In fashion less is usually more but the key word to this trend is ’embellish’. Your jewellery may be as light as a feather but you’re guaranteed to make an impact with these heavyweight accessories.

From $2,600 … I know! The whole collection of shoes are absolutely breathtaking and I’m not just talking about the price. It doesn’t help you in Ireland but by the time Spring hits Australia, hopefully there will be some cheap, quality knock offs!

I think fashion is very much like writing. There is no such thing as an original thought unless it is written by me of course! I have shoes that I bought three years ago from a Spanish designer called el dantee that could easily fit in this Louie Vuitton collection.

or Lucy Vuitton if you’ve opted for the knock off versions lol, i agree and ‘Dunne’ always manage to do a great copy of the top designers shoes at prices that don’t make my knees wobble !!

“Your jewellery may be as light as a feather but you’re guaranteed to make an impact with these heavyweight accessories.” – Very clever writing! These shoes are absolutely to die for, the price not so much.
